Random Photos of Family, Kids Parts 6-15

Here are some more Random Photos from this summer, parts 6-15. Lots going on recently, so I have been a bit slow to post photos and updates on the blog this summer...Enjoy!
Great shot of Mother and Son, at the Zoo, August 22.
Here is Susan at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN - July 23, 2009. Notice the dance floor in the background and stage; they were conducting some sort of square dancing class!Outside same said Wildhorse Saloon; One of us is a horse, one of us is a horse's rear(!) You be the judge...
Me and the kids at the Zoo not too long ago, August 22. We go to the Zoo quite a bit. Michaela really likes to stick out her tongue for some reason.
Here is a shot of Susan inside (!) the Opryland Hotel, July 24. As if it wasn't big enough, they've added on quite a bit since the last time I was there in 1997.

I love this shot, just snapped it the other day, September 1. My little sweet-pea.

Susan at one of the piers at San Franscisco Bay, May 15 2009.

One of my personal favorites: Me and Andrew in front of the largest engine at the Colorado Locomotive Museaum, May 22.

Here's Susan enjoying a Milkshake at a favorite spot in Palo Alto, California...May 14th...Can't remember the name of the place, but Susan loves their ice cream shakes.
And finally, "Little Oatmeal," at 8 weeks, taken today, September 14....What a summer it has been for the Wylies-in-Denver, eh?

Random Photos of Family, Kids Part 5

A shot of the kids, September 3, 2009: Michaela is 18 months now, Andrew is nearly 4-1/2.

Random Photos of Family, Kids, Part 4

A photo I really like of the kids, taken Sept. 2, 2009: If you haven't seen Andrew in awhile (or Michaela, for that matter), it would probably strike you how tall they seem to be getting, esp. for their age. Andrew is especially getting big - not an ounce of baby fat, either! I hope he is into football (read: Linebacker) when he is older. He does like to kick the soccer ball around with me quite a bit.

Random Photos of Family, Kids Part 3

Here is Michaela, in a box, last week, September 9th, 2009. As many of you know, we will be moving into a new house at the end of this week - Michaela is doing her part to help us move.

Random Photos of Family and Kids, etc. Part 2

Here is a photo of Susan just outside the Golden Gate Bridge, Friday May 15th. A note: Since we have been very slow about posting photos, family news, etc. this summer, I am for now putting up neat pictures from the last 4 months or so as I edit them. San Franscisco was great, by the way. We walked over a good little portion of the bridge and looked over the side--man it was higher than it looks, and man the wind was blowing like crazy!

Random photos of family, kids, Part 1

Here's a photo of Mark at the Pacific Ocean outside of San Franscisco, May 15, 2009.

Michaela's first steps

Little girl is finally starting to venture into the world of 'walking upright' - God help us! She get's around so fast crawling, I can't imagine where she'll be once she can run around! It is really neat to see my little girl getting bigger -

please don't date until you are out of college(!)

Mother's Day Photos

Better late than never; Here some photos that were snapped this last Mother's Day, nearly tw0 weeks ago:

Andrew's 4th Birthday (4-21)

Here are photos from Andrew's recent 4th birthday - In fact he had 2 'birthdays', one in Mineola on the 19th and one in Denver on his actual birthday, the 21st. Susan and the kids came back from Texas on the 21st, so after picking them up from the airport, we had cake and presents. Andrew has taken to his new 'ride' very quickly, and he loves to ride. We are certainly blessed - now we have a 1 year old and a 4 year old on our hands!

(There are 3 pics at the end that show me laughing pretty big and Andrew in 'awe' - we were watching his new Tom and Jerry DVD, a particular cartoon that I probably hadn't seen since I was 8...)

Michaela's One-Year-Old Birthday Extravaganza!

Last Sunday was our baby daughter's first birthday - How blessed we are to have her with us, and it's still hard to imagine that it's already been a year since we went up to Sweedish Hospital and came back with a 6 lb, 13 oz little sweetheart that cried for (what seemed like) nearly 2 months straight! I still call her 'my little dinosaur' sometimes, btw! Now she waves, calls my name (dadadadada), and is all over the house, crawling, pulling up on things, getting into her big brother's toys!

Thanks to family and friends that sent presents or wished us well; Here's to the joy of seeing many, many more Michaela birthdays in the future!

"Jesus Loves Me" from the Laundry Basket

Another song, from a few days ago. This time, from the laundry basket(!)

"Blue Skies and Rainbows", 3-26-09

Another version of a now-familiar Wylie household classic - just imagine how many times we've heard this one since that last post in August(!) But we are very proud of our little song-bird and hope he's always this happy!

Backyard Fun

We really haven't had what you can call a 'proper Winter' here in Denver...yesterday was in the 70s, so we got outside a bit in the afternoon.. Michaela will be one year old this coming Sunday, by the way...

Up to my armpits in kids....

Sometimes I get mobbed by 'adoring fans';
I will look at photos like this someday and smile and sigh when both these kids are too busy practicing life and growing up to "tackle" the old man when he comes home...

Valentine's Day at the Wylie's!

Or perhaps I should title Valentine's Day '09 as "Michaela's First Valentine's Day" ! That kitty book I picked out for her is a big hit, by the way. Andrew got a big Thomas card and some 'reusable Thomas stickers' (we called'em "colorforms" back when I was a wee lad). Mommy got spa petticure and manicure treatments, and I got one of my favorite meals and a few music books - Valentine's is the new Christmas!

Susan's Birthday Night at Dave and Busters!

Somehow we actually got a babysitter the day before! What a fun night, and what a great group of friends. Thanks, y'all, Susan had a great time - now whose birthday is next?!?!

Susan's Birthday

A number of great photos from Susan's birthday- I forced myself to pick the best ones. Susan's birthday was last Friday (the day before Valentines!) I believe that Andrew was hoping one of Mommy's presents would be a new Thomas train -

Thank you all for the calls, e-mails, presents, and cards. We certainly had a fun day-
